Hyogo Prefecture is a prefecture with a diverse range of attractions, including the World Heritage Site Himeji Castle, the exotic port city of Kobe, Arima Onsen, one of Japan's three oldest hot springs, and Awaji Island, the site of Japan's creation myth. Facing the Seto Inland Sea and the Sea of Japan, it is known as a "miniature version of Japan," where urban and natural areas coexist in harmony.

Himeji Castle (White Egret Castle)
Japan's first World Heritage Site. It is called "White Heron Castle" because of its elegant white plaster appearance. The castle towers are national treasures, and still retain their appearance from over 400 years ago.

Kobe Port and Harborland
An international port with over 150 years of history since its opening. Enjoy the atmosphere of a port town with sights like the Red Brick Warehouse, Meriken Park, and Port Tower. The night view is a million-dollar wonder.

Arima Hot Springs
One of Japan's three oldest and three most famous hot springs. You can enjoy two types of spring water: Kinsen (iron-containing, strong salt spring) and Ginsen (radium spring). This famous hot spring was also loved by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

Awaji Island
The largest island in the Seto Inland Sea. Directly connected to Honshu by the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Known as the setting for the creation myth, the Naruto whirlpools, and the island of flowers, it is also rich in agricultural products such as onions.

Mount Rokko
A mountain towering over Kobe. Easily reach the top by cable car and enjoy the million-dollar night view, Rokko Garden Terrace, the alpine botanical garden, and more.

Kitano Foreigner's House District
This was a foreign settlement during the Meiji and Taisho periods. It is dotted with Western-style buildings overflowing with exotic atmosphere, such as the Weathercock House and the Moegi House. There are also plenty of cafes and shops.

💡 旅のヒント：The Kobe Luminarie is a prayer for the repose of the souls of those affected by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and for the restoration of the area. The Sea of Japan side is the home of crab.
アクセス情報
The main access points are Shin-Kobe Station (Shinkansen), Kobe Airport, and Osaka International Airport (Itami). The JR and private railway networks are extensive, making travel within the prefecture convenient. Take the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge to Awaji Island.

- ✓Kobe city has many slopes, so wear comfortable shoes.
- ✓We recommend entering Himeji Castle first thing in the morning (8:30am)
- ✓Be careful not to soak in the gold springs of Arima Onsen for too long as you may get a reaction from the hot springs.
- ✓The best way to eat Kobe beef is at a certified restaurant
- ✓The easiest way to get to Awaji Island is by express bus or car (there is no train).
